How to get from Marrakech airport

Marrakech Menara Airport is located  4 miles (15 minutes) from the city.


Non-stop flights are available from Manchester, London Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton & Stansted. The flight time is approximately 3.5 hours


Marrakech is also serviced by non-stop flights from the following European Cities: Marseille, Paris, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Madrid, Girona, Reus, Valencia, Brussels, Milan, Rome & Pisa.

By Rail

The lovely new Marrakech railway station GARE DE MARRAKECH (as it's locally know) is located right in the city center in the Gueliz on Avenue Hassan II.



Marrakech is the southern terminus of the ONCF, the Moroccan railway network, and Marrakech is well served by trains heading to/from Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, and Fes.  For destinations without rail connections, ONCF provides modern coaches belonging to its SUPRATOURS subsidiary so you can comfortably continue your journey.



Whatever the station of departure, you can reserve your seat in the coach and purchase a combined rail and road ticket for travel end to end. The bus timetable coordinates with the train timetable and the bus terminal is right beside the station.



Tickets can be booked in advance and first class train coaches are recommended as they are fitted with air-conditioning.  Riad Chayma is a short taxi ride from the Marrakech rail station and can be pre-booked for convenience in advance.

Gare Du Marrakech

By Bus

The main bus station in Marrakech is called Gare Routiere de Marrakech, however it's also known as Bab Doukkala Bus Station as it lies outside just outside the historical ramparts, next to Bab Doukkala Gate.  The Bus Station is within a 5 minute walk of Riad Chayma.



Buses connect to most major Moroccan cities daily. CTM has good air-conditioned buses and affordable prices.

Tickets for the CTM bus in Morocco cannot be purchased from outside of the country.  You will need to purchase from the bus depot once you arrive into Morocco.  Payment for the CTM bus is in cash (Dirham only) and the offices do not accept credit cards.

By Car

Driving in Marrakech is not for the faint hearted, but if you feel up for the challenge several leading car hire companies operates in Morocco. You can collect a rental car from Marrakech Airport with Hertz or Europe Car.



Riad Chayma is a 15 minute drive from Marrakech Menara Airport, you will need to head towards the Bab Doukkala entrance to the Medina and park just inside the Bab (gate).  Once parked you can call the Riad and we will come and collect you (1 minutes walking distance).

Driving Licence & vehicle documents must be carried at all times and you will need to bring your own national driving licence (paper & card) if planning to drive in Morocco.

If you are travelling with children, you will need to check whether a car seat is available at time of booking, otherwise you may need to bring your own..
